• iTransact - internet and store front, lowest cost, 2-year term
• PayPal - widely recognized, no term, internet only
• 2Checkout - no term, internet only, traditional appearance, but no manual transactions

Here's a quick comparison summary of the above merchant providers.  The lowest costs are indicated in green.  If you're looking at no-term solutions only, then the lowest-cost is also shown in maroon.  The underlined numbers indicate the break-even points at which you might consider using one merchant services provider over another.

Note: While 2Checkout does provide lower prices for low transaction levels, their high per-transaction fees quickly make them more expensive.  Also, they do not allow manual transactions.  That is, you cannot collect a customer's credit card and then enter it yourself.  This means that you would not be able to take phone orders, nor swipe a card in the field for later entry, etc.  Because of this, we recommend their service only if (1) all of your sales will be over the internet and not under your control, and (2) your monthly transaction volume is frequently $0.00.
